This will be complemented by a presentation on the requirements and demands of a university professorship.

Series of events:
"#MmyResearch - Digital Visibility of Female Scientists"
and "GENDERmai"
At the Emden-Leer University of Applied Sciences two online events on the topic of the visibility of women in science will take place, to which you are cordially invited. Visibility is an important factor in an academic career. In addition to being known in one's own community, dialogue with society is also becoming increasingly important. But the Impulses from Women for Innovative research are still often overlooked: They have fewer first authorships, are less frequently cited or requested as experts and are outnumbered when prestigious science prizes are awarded. These factors complicate their Scientific career, influence but also the General perception from Women in research.
1. Double Lecture "Visibility as a Career Factor - The gender visibility gap in science", 29.04.2024 from 13:00 - 14:30 Clock. Registration under gs-digital@hs-emden-leer.de - The access data will be sent out on 26.04.2024. Further information can be found in the Calendar of events of the Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences.
2. "'Liked my content - Science communication through sciencefluencing", 29.05.2024 from 16:30 - 18:00 o'clock. The announcement including the conference link can be found on the Event page for the GENDERmai 2024 Emden/Leer University of Applied Sciences
In the double lecture on "Gender Visibility Gap" will discuss the role played by various actors at universities and their understanding of excellence in the visibility of (early career) female academics and what influence online presences have on the visibility of HAW professors in particular.
The event "Sciencefluencing" deals with science communication in digital media and the question of whether new target groups can be reached through this.
